Learning how to save and manage money at a young age can be a very valuable lesson. At Santee Cooper Credit Union, we have Young Savers Accounts for anyone under the age of 18. To help get youth started, the Credit Union will deposit the first $5 into the Young Savers Account. Then, every year during the child’s birth month, we will add another $5 into the account until the age of 18.   With a Young Savers Account, children will be able to save the money they earn from an allowance and they can also save birthday or holiday money they receive.
